Dermal Filler Treatments in Cheshire, Stockport

Restore Volume with Dermal Filler at The Clinic Cheshire

As we age, our skin loses elasticity, and we naturally lose proteins and facial fat. This transpires as volume loss and begins to become visible as the top half of our face begins to sag, and the bottom half appears wider.

Dermal face fillers are a popular choice for patients looking for anti-aging, wanting to improve symmetry and enhance features. Face fillers work by refreshing your appearance and enhancing areas of your face. We offer Dermal Fillers in different areas, including cheeks, jawline, under eyes and lip fillers.

Please note, all information included above and on this page is general advice and may vary depending on personal circumstances. Your exact treatment plan and options will be discussed during your consultation.

What Are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are made of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which is a substance that occurs naturally in your body to provide your skin with elasticity. We use only medical-grade and government-approved suppliers for our dermal fillers.

At The Clinic, we use high-quality fillers, carefully designed with specific properties to address the areas of the face most popular for treatment.

What Are The Benefits Of Dermal Fillers?

As the dermal fillers we use contain a naturally occurring substance that is safe and effective, this treatment is suitable for a range of patients. Dermal fillers are an effective treatment for several reasons:

  • Reduce signs of ageing
  • Add volume to better sculpt your face.
  • Treat fine lines and wrinkles whilst restoring plumpness in the skin.
  • Treats smoker’s lines, hollow under eyes and nasolabial folds.

Facial contouring is also a popular option amongst both men and women, using dermal fillers in the cheeks, jawline and chin to add structure and definition to the face, whilst our tear trough treatment can help refresh a tired appearance.

Pre & Post Treatment Advice For Dermal Fillers

If at all possible avoid alcohol, aspirin and ibuprofen 48 hours prior to your treatment. This is due to their blood thinning properties which can increase the risk of bruising post procedure.

It is recommended that you do not wear any makeup for 12 hours following the treatment.

Avoid any extended exposure to the sun, UV rays and temperatures below 0°C after treatment.

Do not enter a sauna or similar environment for 2 weeks following treatment.

The risk of bruising and bleeding may be higher if you are taking aspirin, high doses of vitamin C or any anti-coagulants. Please discuss any concerns that you have with your medical aesthetic practitioner.

Side effects: It is normal for there to be slight redness, swelling and tenderness around the treated area immediately after treatment. These signs generally disappear within a few days, but make sure you contact your practitioner if they persist.

If you believe that you are experiencing any adverse side effects, contact your practitioner immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Results can be seen immediately; however, there may be some initial swelling and bruising as the area heals. This should reduce over 2 weeks, sometimes sooner. After this period, optimal results can be seen.

This will vary for every client, as lifestyle choices can have an effect. As a general guide, you can expect to see your results to last between 6 and 18 months, after which further treatment will be required should you wish to maintain your initial results.

If you are ever unsure if you are due a top-up, simply contact us or give us a call at 0161 204 3269, and we will ask you to come in for a review.

You may experience some bruising, redness, swelling or pain over the injection sites. This is completely natural and a common side effect of dermal filler treatments. As our dermal fillers are only administered by nurse practitioners at The Clinic Cheshire, complications are very rare.

You should avoid touching or massaging the treated area, and not apply topical makeup or creams to the area, for 12 hours.

Some pain during the treatment and post-treatment is normal and can be expected. While we use topical numbing cream, some patients experience discomfort; we will ensure to leave the numbing cream on for as long as possible to reduce this. Discomfort following the treatment is due to swelling of the area; this is common and only temporary.

If you have any additional questions about this treatment, please don’t hesitate to give our friendly team a call or book a consultation and we can answer your questions when we see you.
