On the day of your treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the area due to be treated to ensure minimal discomfort. Once the area is sufficiently numb our practitioner will use the PLASMA IQ device to create tiny, controlled dots on your skin, which might feel like a mild tingling or heat.
The whole process typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated. After your treatment you may experience some redness and swelling, but these effects usually subside within a few days, revealing tighter, smoother skin. Before your PLASMA IQ treatment you should limit sun exposure and avoid tanning beds for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.
For a week before your treatment you should stop using any skincare products that contain retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), and other potentially irritating ingredients.
We recommend taking an over the counter antihistamine for 5 days prior and 2-3 days after treatment to help with any swelling.

Results vary depending on the treatment carried out with the PLASMQ IQ device. For mild concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles you will likely notice improvement within one week of treatment. For deeper wrinkles, eyelid lifting and other more moderate concerns, you will usually notice improvements 1 – 3 weeks after treatment.
The effects of PLASMA IQ can last up to 2 years depending on your skin type, area treated and your lifestyle. To maintain optimum results, clients may opt for maintenance treatments every 12-18 months. Proper skincare, including SPF, can help to prolong the benefits of your treatment.
You may experience some bruising, redness, swelling, scabbing, itching, tingling or pain over the treatment area(s).
